Duration: 2 Days Objectives: By the end of the course the student will know the advantages of computerised databases in the commercial environment and will have used Microsoft Access software to solve information requirements. Designed for: This course is particularly suited to students who have some familiarity with personal computing and who now need to make effective use of Microsoft Access. The course assumes no previous knowledge of database software. Description: The early part of the course introduces the student to the concept of database' and the inherent advantages. The course then covers database creation, management, updating and reporting. The course has a significant practical content. Course Topics
Objectives: This course extends the basic concepts of Microsoft Access to enable the delegate to make effective use of the many facilities available in the product. The material covered in this course provides a foundation for the Access Development course. Designed For: This course is suitable for delegates with a basic understanding of Microsoft Access, and the ability to create and modify Tables, Queries, Forms and Reports. It also assumes knowledge of table joins and parameter queries. Description: This course focuses on the importance of good design and the use of more advanced techniques to produce database applications that are largely automated. It shows how various components can be integrated, both within Access and with other software, to create an application with relatively little effort. The use of macros is covered, both to automate forms and reports and to control the overall application, as are the principles of database management. Course Topics
