Objectives:

By the end of the course, the delegate will be aware of the simplicity and ease of use of a Personal Computer. They will have gained skills in basic system housekeeping and have an insight into the capacity and potential of the technology. They will have used software packages typical of those which are currently available.

Absolute beginners and those people approaching Personal Computing for the first time. Ideal for anyone who needs to gain a rapid awareness of the potential of PC's and their associated technology.

 

Description:

The course aims to reveal the simplicity and 'plain common sense' of computing by removing the barriers so often created by the jargon. Having achieved this basic level of confidence with the technology, the course provides the student with a 'survival package' Windows. The final part of the course is dedicated to practical workshop sessions during which the potential of Spreadsheet, Database, Word-processing, and Graphics software can be evaluated 'first-hand'.
